What is a Forged Gate Valve?

Forged steel gate valve is a kind of gate valve whose parts are made of forging material. The gate of the forged steel gate valve moves along the vertical direction of the center line of the passage. It is mainly used for shut-off functions in the pipeline. The forged steel gate valve is a widely used valve. It is generally used for the shut-off device with a size≤2”.

The threaded connection is usually used for the middle and low-pressure pipelines; Socket welded connections are suitable for high-pressure pipelines, usually found in small diameter forged gate valves less than 2 inch; Butt welding is also suitable for high-pressure pipelines, but it usually occurs in large diameter forged gate valves of more than 2 inch; Flange connection can be divided into integral flange and welding flange two kinds, according to the specific working conditions of users to choose; Forging gate valve is mainly used for cutting off, so it can be applied to the pipeline with bidirectional flow of the medium.

Features of Forged Steel Gate Valve
