Our developers succeeded in combining the high-precise measuring ETKD-insert with a body of pressure-tight plastics, suitable for use with potable water. The result is the innovative ETKD-L.
The composite housings of the Water Meter consist of a polymer, as light as it is highly stable, which has been used in the automotive industry and in the manufacture of sports equipment and containers for drinking water for many years. The result: extremely low weight with the highest stability and resilience. In addition, the Plastic Water Meters are resistant to corrosion.

Performance Characteristics
The RTKD-L records the flow rate using the volumetric measuring principle and guarantees extremely precise consumption recording (max. Ratio Q3/Q1 = 400) and accounting.
The RTKD-L is equipped with the ZENNER D-register and is available in two versions:
RTKD-L-M with 8-digit-rollers register and modulator disc for non-reactive scanning for radio (wireless M-bus, LPWAN), M-bus or pulse. RTKD-L-N with 7- or 8-digit rollers for different pulse values and retrofittable
with mechanic pulser.

The new series of our volumetric piston meters with protected dial are an improvement of the classical RNK. Our developers succeeded in combining the millionfold proved and high-precise measuring insert with a body of pressure-tight plastics, suitable for use with potable water. The result is the innovative RNK-L-RP-N.
A very low starting flow and reliable performance even with aggressive or dezincification water qualities are its main features. The protected roller counter is reliably readable even under demanding climatic conditions.
The construction principle of the RNK-L-RP-N with direct transmission from the measuring chamber to the counter ensures by standard protection against magnetic or other manipulation attempts or interference.
RNK-L-RP-N is equipped with pulser (Reed) for remote readout.
Performance Characteristics
In order to ensure this, inlet and outlet zones are required. T-pieces, elbows or partially open valves create eddies in the water and an irregular flow-rate profile. If this turbulence reaches the meter, it will have a long-term effect on the measurement results. This problem can be solved by using the honeycomb rectifier.
32 square, axial channels rectify the turbulence of the water inside the pipeline.
There is a punched disc at the outlet of the honeycomb unit, the open cross-section of which is equal to approximately half the cross-section of the pipe. The water flowing in is braked and the subsequent square channels rectify any remaining turbulence.
Pressure loss due to the honeycomb rectifier is approximately 0.1 bar at a flow-rate of 3 m/sec.
The metal flange of the punched disc serves to attach the rectifier between two flanges and the honeycomb unit faces downstream.
These can be installed as wellheads in place of a 90° elbow in accordance with DIN 28537 and DIN 28637. The housing is specially adjusted to the conditions in well systems. The well water enters the bottom of the water meter, flows through the vertical turbine and is directed out of the meter again at right angles.
The special construction of our turbines guarantees low starting flows and also provides sufficient reserves in the overload range even to be able to record high flow rates reliably. The internal and external coating protects the meter permanently against corrosion. Mineral deposits in the water are unable to damage the dry dial register. The design is ideally suitable for narrow well shafts with small dimensions. There is no need to provide an extra installation location for a Woltman meter.
Applications
The ZENNER Bulk water meter WPD / WPHD is specially constructed for the measuring of high flow rates with a mainly constant flow rate profile. Due to the robust design, WPD / WPHD can cover a wide measuring range and provide accurate measuring results over a long period. So it covers almost all measuring tasks in the drinking water supply and distribution.
The housing of the WPD / WPHD was flow-optimized. The mesuring insert was newly constructed as a replacable metrological unit according to european MID. In combination with an up-to-date bearing of the impeller a good linearity and long-term stability of the error curve can be achieved. The robust copper-glass-register is non-diffusive and protected against condensation. It also works reliably under the hardest conditions (e.g. in flooded pits or shafts).
The WPD / WPHD is optimally prepared for remote reading. Retrofitting of electronic communication modules (EDC radio, EDC M-Bus, EDC pulse) and conventional Reed sensor is possible at any time and without violating the calibration seal.

This field of application requires particularly robust meters that also function reliably under the most difficult conditions. Our irrigation meters guarantee this by positioning the measuring insert in the upper section of the pipe, where there is generally only a small number of suspended particles in the running water. The meter easily takes a level of impurity of up to 30% in its stride. Where there is very heavy contamination, external filters can be inserted upstream of the water meter. The factory-tested measuring insert is the same for all meter sizes and can be delivered with the following measurement accuracy:
Qmax-Qt: ± 3% (value class A+B)
Qt-Qmin: ± 5% (value class A)
The mechanical counter is completely encapsulated and hence protected against impurities. As standard, the meters are supplied with a lockable protective metal cap which acts as a dependable protection for the counter, even in harsh conditions. Reed pulser can be retrofitted at any time without damaging the calibration seal.

The WPVR was designed to record fluctuating flows, for use in drinking water distribution and industrial applications. The main meter is based on the proven Woltman parallel technology. As a secondary meter a rotary piston meter is used, with which even small flows can be reliably recorded.
All materials, which are used in the drinking water section, comply with the required standards, guidelines and the current German drinking water approval (other country-specific drinking water approvals on request)
