Y type The Y-type strainer is the oldest and the most widely used type of strainer. The small-sized Y-type strainer is suitable as a forged type, middle-sized as cast type and big-sized the large-sized as fabricated type. Y-type strainer can be installed in any type of pipelines. As for the end connection types, the SW end is recommended for forged Y-type strainers, the flanged end for cast Y-type strainers and the BW end for fabricated Y-type strainers.
T3R, T3W type T3R and T3W type strainers are the most common types installed in horizontal lines. Various effective screens were developed, adding value to T3R and T3W type strainers. These types can be installed in any type of pipelines. T3R is suitable for small-sized strainers and T3W for big-sized strainers or filters. Both BW and flanged ends are applicable as end connection types.
T1, T2 Type T1 and T2 type strainers are installed at the elbow part of the pipeline where the fluid makes a 90° angled flow. The installation of these types of strainers is restricted to the elbow part only. Both BW and flanged ends are applicable as end connection types.
Duplex type Usually one strainer is installed in each pump. Since two strainers are installed in a dual pump, the strainers can be cleaned alternately.(Cleaning may be alternated) In case where the flow shall not be interrupted If the flow may not be interrupted and one of the pumps needs to be operated continuously, a duplex strainer can be installed. Alternate cleaning of the pumps is possible without shutting down the pipeline. The flanged end is the most common end connection type for a duplex strainer.
Bucket type Strainer Strainer A strainer is equipment installed in pipelines to remove debris from the pipeline flow during pre-commissioning tests and to protect the pump and other instruments during commercial operation. The debris is filtered as the fluid flows through the screen installed inside the strainer.

Conical type Conical strainer A conical strainer is temporary equipment used during pre-commissioning tests. It is low in cost and the housing and the screen are excellent in leakage prevention, but the difficult cleaning process makes it unsuitable to be used permanently. The flanged end is the most common end connection type for a conical strainer.
